Often, this journal has nothing to do with photography. ;)

New guy in my life. Going to keep this one. He's handsome, gentlemanly, self deprecating in just the right way, says everything I never thought I'd hear from a guy and seems to really mean it, he gives me goosebumps and makes me feel like a teenager with a crush. He works for a good cause and seems to have ideals I can get down with. He throws out one liners that make me laugh and feel comfortable, because they're usually something I would say.
We got kicked out of the new local tourist bar for making out in the bathroom, and laughed about it for the rest of the night.
I am ridiculously swept off my feet.
Here's praying he's as good as he seems. :)Either way, a date that good is a tiny miracle in itself, but my instincts say he's open and honest and just (FINALLY) a really cool guy.

I think every woman needs to see herself through the lens. Glamour shots or pin up stuff or just pics of you doing whatever you're into. We beat ourselves down so much that we need a tangible reminder to take with us that even if just for a moment: We were as Beautiful as God meant us to be. That's the joy of photography. Most who know me through this page probably wouldn't even recognize me in my real life. But that glamorous girl is inside me even in my sweats when my hair is stuck to the side of my head and my clothes are stained with daily grind grime! :) I say, get in front of the camera, get used to seeing yourself and your flaws from a more objective "outside" perspective, and keep that picture with you on the ugly days!

You know. You are inspiring me to possibly take artistic nudes of my own. Mostly because I have such a bad self-esteem and markings on my body. I think somehow taking those would actually help me feel better about myself because the more I take them the more I'd have to look at myself in the them. I don't know if this makes sense, but thank you. You've kinda opened up a door for me.

The great American poet, Wallace Stevens, who was an insurance lawyer by the way, wrote in an early poem, entitled, "Peter Quince At The Clavier" these words that also define your Beauty: "Beauty is momentary in the mind / The fitful tracing of a portal. / But in the flesh, it is immortal." If the poem had not been written in 1914, and if I had not known of it since 1973, I would easily be convinced that Stevens had written it of you, after seeing your gallery of photographs.
